WPT Casino Review

When you see an acronym like WPT your mind starts to come up with all sorts of crazy options like white pretty teeth for example. But as that has absolutely nothing to do with online casinos, we don’t think that’s what they were after. What WPT really stands for is World Poker Tour. When we made our first visit to WPT Casino we were met with some mixed results as far a quality is concerned. First, the site is attractive and well laid out from the first page. You access WPT Casino from the main WPT Poker room page. Just look through the tabs running across the top of your screen and you will see the link. As nice as it looked, it just didn’t fit with the rest of the WPT site. It seemed like and extra piece that had been just stuck on the side rather than integrated fully into the site. For example, when we went looking for the help section it was hard to find as you cannot access it from the main casino page. Once we finally located the”Support,” link we did find a very nice list of FAQs that answered most of our questions. The problem was that the answers didn’t necessarily apply to the casino. You see if the pages were fully integrated then the answers would be fine for either one. Since they are not, and the options and features differ greatly between the two, there need to be two separate “Support,” areas. Otherwise you can go see what they have to say, but you never really know which site they are referring to.

WPT casino is using the WagerWorks software to run its games. This is a well respected package that only operates in an Instant Play format. This means that you will be treated to all your favorite games in a quick loading package. While there is always a trade off between using downloading and non-downloading software, this is by no means a second class choice. No WagerWorks overall quality is pretty comparable to what you will find with some of the more deluxe packages and they are supported by a wide number of user systems. This is a huge benefit to all you players out there who have made the switch to Mac. When it comes to total game count, then end number is not as astronomical as some other sites, but what they have is well put together. We combed through the list and found that all of our old favorites were ready and waiting on the casino floor so you’re not missing anything. The British accent on the croupier is a laugh, and it will make you feel like you’re playing in your favorite club down the street.

Most sites will offer a standard new player welcome bonus but this is one area where WPT really goes above and beyond. Their Super Sign-Up Bonus that they give out maxes out at $325, which is well above average. There is also some other bonus money available, but you have to work out their complicated sliding scale system before you can take advantage of it. We have to say that this should just be easier to use all the way around. Any other promotions were only applicable to the Poker room which it sad because is makes the casino just seem like a second class citizen.

When you run across something that you just cannot deal with on your own, customer support is ready and waiting 24 hours a day. WPT Casino offers help through snail mail, phone, and e-mail. Before you pick up that phone though you need to note that there is currently no freephone option supported, so be ready to pay for the call. We tried out their e-mail option and found the response to be quick and full of valuable information. This is a good alternative to keep in mind.

WPT Casino does not have the best overall delivery for their site. They just need to do more work on the details of co-existing with the WPT Poker room. Still they make a good showing in the game department and there is a lot of fun to be had here, especially if you are a poker fan. If you are after an Instant Play casino that offers the variety of a big name Poker room then WPT Casino may just be a dream come true for you. Other wise, just check things out for yourself. You never know, they may have just the combination you’ve been searching for.
